Symptoms Of Gallbladder Disease Archives

I was diagnosed with gallbladders disease after just about the worst biliary attack I could possibly imagine. And after doing some research on the web I've come to learn that gallbladders disease and pregnancy come hand in hand in certain circumstances. My question is this, for any women that have had gallbladders disease during or after their pregnancy, did the stones disappear (because ive read that they can) and how did you cope with the pain? I'm so scared to eat now and I feel like I'm on the edge of my seat just waiting for the next attack. All the information anyone has on Gallbladders disease would be wonderful. Thanks so much!

I had half a banana with my son and an hour later it feels like I am having a gallbladder attack. I don't have a gallbladder it was removed in March this year at the age of 25 it was diseased with stones. Is this even possible? Can bananas cause these attacks, are they ok to eat for people who have gallbladder disease or a removed gallbladder?

I have a family history of gallbladder disease. My great-grandmother passed away last year from gallbladder cancer. I've had pains in that area for the last few weeks. I've had an ultrasound, ct scan and a hida scan. I'm going for a 2nd opinion on Tuesday with a surgeron. Could he suggest surgery even though my tests are coming out negative?

Does being a strict VEGAN reduce the incidence of gallbladder disease?

Are there any research papers on the downside concerns that someone should have when beginning a VEGAN lifestyle?

This is the only research article I can find and it is not for VEGANS and it costs to get off the internet:

Health aspects of vegetarian diets. Am. J. Clin. Nutr. 1988; 48 (suppl): 712s-38s. JT Dwyer - Br. Med ajcn.org - American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Am Soc Nutrition ... Scope This article reviews recent studies over the past 5 y on the health aspects of vegetarian diets in industrialized countries. ...

Thanks HeldmyW and puddles for the awesome answers.

PCRM is a terrific org.

I do not know why any research data on a topic like this is so difficult to find - since it seems to me that it should be available for everyone IF it was ever done.

Subjects like this are what should be studied to best and most thoroughly - even if someone has to do autopsies on a hundred mice with opposite diets to develop some conclusions that are meaningful.

I will keep looking. Perhaps after another round of efforts I or someone else will post a good article.

Thanks again.

ive had many surgeries from age 9-16. When i was 9 i suffered from acute appendicitus. The doctors found that my appendix was on the left side of my body while opperating. My appendix ruptured while operating. The surgeons also discovered something very strange. my intestines were backwards. after waking up from my first surgery, they told me i needed another to fix my intestines. now my intestines are side by side. i was 9 yrs old. they sent me home even though i still was not feeling better. at home i began to throw up bile. due to statistics, they sent me home because abcesses usually dont appear until 10 days following surgery. another opperation was needed to dran the multiple abcesses rectally. it was insuccessful and needed to be drained from a tube thru my nose down my throat to my stomach, finally after about 4 weeks i was released. Now, age 16, 5'4'' weighing 107, i was diagnosed with gallbladder disease, which was sucessfully removed. Are there any connections?

how do you know if you have gallbladder disease? well, i have digestive problems. for example, one day i will be constipated then the next i could have dirrea. then one day i would have to have a bwoel movement like 5 times. also after i eat ill feel bloated, gassy, ill have to use the bathroom, tired, pains in my stomach and close to private area, and my stomach will be upset. and throughout the day ill have the pressure to have a bowel movement and pass gas. so how do you find out if you have problems with ur gallbladder? ive been to the doctors and i got a ultra sound and endoscopy and they didnt find anything thats wrong with me. what advice do you have for me?
also i have trouble breathing after i eat. and this could be anything that i eat. it doesnt really matter. and it doesnt matter if i eat it slow or fast.
