Gall Bladder Symptoms Archives

I just found out my gallbladder funtion is at 0% and am seeing a surgeon tomorrow. But I am having other symtoms too and have been for a while. Now they are getting worse. My question is if extreme fatigue, nausea and bad joint pain are also symptoms? I am only 29 but I feel eighty. I can hardly get up to do anything and I ache bad in my knees, hips and shoulders and elbows.
Clarification, I do not have stones. Just loss of function. I have had ultrasounds and a HIDA scan.

Symptoms such as sore throat, fever, runny nose...

I've heard stories about the surgery just making things worse, or that they dont get any better. Anyone have theirs removed and be completely fine now?

I have been reading through the gallbladder questions and I did not find my answer. I recently had an US done and it showed a had a few large gallstones. I have been having some symtoms such as nausea and lower abdominal pain and cramping and it sometimes hurt in my back but not very often. They said this was not typical gallbladder symptons. It comes and goes though. I could have my gallbladder out but I hate to get it out and have it be something else. If you have any info. and think you some advice you can email me Gabfam4@aol.com and put gallbladder in the subject so I know its not spam. Thanks

I had a friend who told me that she had pain and couldn't eat anything but bread products for a month because she had a bad gallbladder and couldn't stomach anything (no meat or anything greasy). Now after having it removed she says that she now has chronic problems staying awake and will suddenly fall asleep and so can't drive very long before she gets too tired and complains, even though it was months ago since it was removed. Is it possible to have symptoms like this because of a bad gallbladder and having it removed??? She's someone that seems to exaggerate and try to make things worse and wants sympathy so I was just wondering if this was even a possible side-effect of having a bad gall-bladder.
