what are symtoms for sluggish gallbladder?im having my gallbladder removed monday...i have hep-c also, im really scared...how long does it take for this surgery, my real problem is getting put to sleep.im afraid of not waking up...is this normal to think this way...im alone with this...family doesnt care...i would like to hear from someone who has been thru all this...please someone answer...im 49 years old....

My doctor wants me to get an ultrasound to see if my gallbladder is enlarged because of some problems I have been having. I have looked online and can't find any specific symptoms for just an enlarged gallbladder, I keep finding gallbladder cancer and such. Can anyone help me out?

I had an Upper GI Scan done today. The night before the procedure and today, I'm experiencing some Right Upper Quadrant pain just below my ribcage. I don't have any other typical gall bladder symptoms, but now I'm curious: If there were something wrong with my gall bladder, would that have been detected on my Upper GI?

Hi, I am a 20 year old female in decent shape/health. I have had upper right back pain for a couple months now. It's between my spine and shoulder blade only on my upper right back. Right about the time my back started hurting, I started getting really bloated and nauseous after eating. I am now on Nexium and it seems to help but my shoulder pain is still here.
-The doctor thinks its just muscle. I went to a massage therapist and a chiropractor and after both appointments, it just hurts more. It's really frustrating! What were your gallbladder symptoms?? could this be something else?

I have read everywhere that gall bladder pain can be felt pretty much anywhere. When my dad had his gall bladder attack he thought he washaving a heart attack.Same with my hubby's grandma who had chest pain and side pain. But My OB says that gall bladder pain is very focused and only felt in the area the gall bladder is in. I odn't think she is right. And she turned down my request for a test on my gall bladder because she siad that it can't be the problem. Instead she ordered an ultrasound on my kidneys. I really do not feel that this is the problem. I am 17 weeks pregnant. Can you even have your gall bladder removed when you are pregnant (safely)?
What did your attack feel like? Was the pain focused? Or did you feel it in other places? I am so confused and scared thAT IT MIGHT RUPTURE IF i CAN'T GET ANYONE TO LISTEN TO ME.

Oh yeah, my pain is on the left side just under the rib cage.
And also for many years have had unexplained digestive issues and severe chest pains that get worse when inhaling and make me unable to breathe until the pain subsides.(usually about 45 secs to a minute.

Im 16 and i got my gallbladder out a month ago, and i felt perfect. my birthday was 2 days ago so naturally me and my friends had lots of junk food. that night i got the same burning pain i got when i had my gallbladder and i have been really nauseas since then.
i take 2 prilosecs a day (thats what the doc recommended) is there anything else i can do? how long will it last?
